Neilloan is the mallee fowl at Vega in the reconstructed Boorong Stellarium culture.
Stanbridge’s 1857 paper is short. Morieson spent decades trying to complete identifications. Some figures, including Neilloan, rest on that reconstruction as well as the original list.
We say so. A catalog that hides reconstruction as ancient certainty would be a worse lie than a missing star.
Vega sits far north. From Lake Tyrrell it still clears the horizon in season. The /sky camera uses Boorong latitude so that geometry is honest.
