Yhi
Yhi is the Sun-woman in published Gamilaraay and Euahlayi accounts, including an emu-egg origin of daylight.
One recorded story says a brush turkey or brolga threw an emu egg east into a pile of logs. The fire became the Sun, which then travelled the sky each day. The Boorong people told Stanbridge a similar egg-and-fire origin. Two Nations, one motif, not one mashup sky.
Parker’s Euahlayi material also has Yhi as a wanton woman who chases the Moon. Fuller et al. treat that as a published folklore layer, not as a licence to invent new Law.
In this library Yhi is tagged to the Gamilaraay pack only. Open Boorong separately if you want the Victorian egg story in its own sky.
