Tagai is the Torres Strait fisherman whose body and canoe span Crux, Corvus, Scorpius and more. This is Islander astronomy, not Aboriginal.
He killed twelve crew who drank his water, and set them in Usal (Pleiades) and Utimal (Orion). His left hand is the Southern Cross spear. His right hand is Corvus, a fruit.
When the left hand dips into the sea, Kuki the wet season is coming. When Usal and Utimal rise in November, it is time to plant and to watch turtle and dugong.
